Depends which bike. My old BMW needs oil changes every 1000 miles but also uses summer then winter viscosity oil. On a modern bike I change oil as per manufacturers recommendations. But after winter is a good idea

There is a guy who parks near me has those wooden bobbles over the top of his normal seat (this was the only image I can find)

can't think of anything worse on a bike seat,rb... some companies advertise in mcn to add gel pads to existing seat,but never had problem with speedfour,and Tiger ok for 200 mile stretches??
