that's more than half what i paid for the entire bike! oh well, looks like getting it re-built is the only option. just need to find a place that will do it
have you tried any bike breakers Minnie. I think there is a company called West Country Windings who would do it, can find out some more info for you if you want... PM me the details if you do
Tried loads of bike breaker FG...these beasts really are very rare indeed. An intruder being broken was on ebay & the starter went last week....for £151 (gulp)

I've had a message from a company called universal-rotating who may be able to do it but I will have to post it off before they commit themselves to saying they can do it or say how much. They are in hertfordshire & so are are west country windings. I'm hoping someone can recommend somewhere in the northwest where I can take it to show them rather than posting
Still being fobbed off by O2 regarding my Blackberry that just stopped working last week. They say it's because of "water damage" but I know full well that it hasn't been water damaged and the little magic sticker inside is still white (turns red if there's water damage). Only had the thing a couple of months and they want to charge me £99 to fix the bloomin' thing. That AND I'm still paying for stuff for the BB that I can't use on my little old phone, which luckily I kept and now has my sim card back in it!!!
