I've a schuberth j1, which is a fullface but has a flip feel to it, but without the weight issues. Find it ledd claustophobic than my shoei fell face.

On my R50, I am still running a 6 volt system. It's a bit like one candle power, so anything would be an improvement. Still use conventional bulbs on my CBF.
Are LED bulbs any better?

Yes, the bulbs never 'go' and use less power, changed all my indicators and rear lights but can need a new indicator relay

It's not looking good for them, maybe this year will let them know if it's worth carrying on. When you think of the past years of superbikes where they dominated the sport, it is hard to understand why they cannot do it in MotoGP.
