Having a great time with my girls tonight and receiving great pms from lovely people on this site!! Thank you!
Its nice to hear good news like Lula passing her test and lovely birthdays...all happy things today... nice...
Its also lovely to hear that romance is in the air...see Monkeyhangar told you you hadnt done enough to put your young lady off!!!
Letter from the power company saying that I'd been payng too much this year and they're refunding me £100 next week. And a phone call from a friend just to say hello and cheer up. Doesn't know one end of a bike from the other, but so what...
It's nice to see so many folk with a reason, or more, to smile.
My smiles took place over last couple of days, now I think about it I've had lots of reasons to smile, but the 2 that stand out most were the good wishes after my knee op and yesterday when FMOH came over to visit me and brought a large tin of jelly babies with him.
Oh *sick-ville here I come ROFL. *from stuffing my face. FMOH also made me a cup o' tea, very nice, but I guess I'm not supposed to tell anyone that in case it ruins his roughy toughy image OOPS!
seeing kwak bounce back from her op to her usual cheery self, glad your still laughing mate, and wasn't that nice of FMOH?
aren't there some lovely people on this site?
xx lula xx
Having a really lovely evening last night to celebrate Lula passing her test, you can't beat sharing nice times with special people in your life.
Waking up this morning and not wanting to get out of bed it was so cosy in there.
Reading Wills post, where we going then DARLING??? I sure that would cover a nice room, a nice meal and I will bring the wine. (and my flanette pj's of course)
Tangoman steady on, also with the flanette Pj's comes fluffy bed socks, knitted bed cardigan, rollers and a hairnet.
Having Bluesbiker come over and help me clean out my pond and cut back the plants as I can't use cutters.
This just proves to people what nice friends you can make from being on this site, never having to ask anyone for help,(I am too independant and proud to do that) they just offer and seem to know when its needed.
Making me smile tonight is watching Bluesbiker doing his bit for the environment, recycling my old candles. I know have some lovely coloured nice smelling new candles.
Having a scream with the recovery man who turned up to fix my car and couldnt. Poor fella must have thought i was bonkers.
Conversation went something like this - 'whaddya mean you cant fix it?' 'it needs to go on ramps to get the sump cover off and you aint got any!' 'you do realise that i'll have to use my bike tomorrow and have you seen the f***ing forecast??' 'wear your thermal knickers then! and i'll pick you up monday to take the car to the garage' 'oh great, thanks for your help, if you wonder where i am on monday morning, i'll be frozen to my sodding bike!' Cue much mirth on the recovery mans part. We were both hysterical by the end of it!
Crying with laughter this evening on the phone with my mate Carrie, over the predicament i've found myself in for tomorrow(see also sad thread).
Its just not funny, really it isnt!
Yup BC and for once (IMHO) Ben Elton was funny. The rest of the show was brill'.
It's about time the programme schedulers put something on worth watching, I'm going gaga (ok, MORE gaga) with the dross they keep showing us. Even I don't need THAT much SLEEP
A man of many talents Cg. I haven't got a pond but I've got a triffid that needs dealing with Blues!!!!
Many talents indeed Di, just wait till next Sunday he may even make you his special porridge if you ask him nicely, well it sounds nice anyway, Blues very kindly went into all the details of not only what goes into it but also how to make it, did you know you need 1 cup of very hot water and 1 cup of milk, umm forgot to ask if that was hot or cold milk, think I will leave asking that for another day. All to techy for me.
Just give me plain oats anyday.
