Roachy's bike riding. That made me really smile and very proud today.
I remember the wobbling days on her CG125 with her feeling nervous about going on the road, let alone tackling a bend or junction and those days weren't that long ago.
And then today I realised how much she has improved. I ain't an advanced instructor and have never been one, so can't judge for definite, but I truly believe that Roachy's riding today would have been sufficient to get not only a pass, but a good grade on a Rospa advanced test.
Excellent throttle control, well planned and well executed lines with good approaches and well timed turn points, very well timed and safe overtakes, good anticipation of hazards and very good progress.
I was dead proud. So much so that I am going to try and get us both booked onto a Bikesafe day to see what a pro reckons to her riding (and to mine lol) and then may even look up the local Rospa group with an aim of getting our advanced tests passed.
Ride back from Capt. Cook came through Gothland Pickering and Malton, passed Finbar and seaways cafe (both rammed full of bikes :o) ..)
Glorious weather all the way back.
