Looking at my bike and thinking about the Antrim coast road that was in a post few days ago.
So loading bike in morning and heading back to Ireland via some friends in Scotland Going to try and avoid Motorways and stick to A / B roads.
Just checked weather torential rain Sunday in south Scotland.
Now why am I not surprised
My Uncle's over visiting from Australia Mick, via NI. He says the weather's been great since he's been home in Belfast. It's only rained once.
For 7 days
being able to get out on my bike to bc' do, coming home, having a nice evening with the kids including lighting a fire outside , burning wood etc, sitting out with the kids, they say its the simple things in life !!!!
U2 Played in Cardiff tonight! Roads out to m4 at the end chocker. I live right near M4 junction.
As i know town well,,,whipped home in record time! with almost empty roads..in a car!..(he,he,he....)
Going to my Sister's wedding yesterday... leaving home at 7am, two kids, two bikes, riding to Swindon for bacon butties, then riding with the Bride and Groom and loads of other bikes to the Registry Office in Cirencester... the looks on peoples faces as we all turned up, the registrar putting on the chosen music and saying "we don't usually get asked for this type of music!" and being told to "TURN IT UP!!"... laughing as other wedding parties turned up in frocks and posh suits, seeing my mad family in the same place at the same time, catching up with old friends who I hadn't seen for 20 years, watching how happy my sister was when making her vows, gaining a big bruv... and finally riding home in the afternoon exhausted but at last with a smile on my face!
My Sister has finally found happiness, at 48 years old... so there's hope for me after all !!
