Some Tw*t takin his camper van up the single lane street where I live. Gettin stuck then backing into my bike setting the alarm off. Luckily I run out and stopped him before he did anything more than bend the mirror back. Then The Tw*t has the cheek to say he didn't hit it.
Some toerag tried to nick the bike about 1.30 this morning. Fortunately it was chained to a wall anchor and also has a disc lock so they didn't get it, but I heard the crash as they dropped it on the right hand side.
A few minor scratches, and I managed to get it upright quite easily considering it's a heavy bike. Trouble is, now it won't start. I suspect the fuel pump as I can't hear it pressuring up when I turn the ignition on. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Er, egg on face time. In my slightly over-hasty efforts to check all was right, I'd tried to start it with the sidestand still down, and BMWs have a cutout switch to stop that happening.
Even worse, I'd checked there was still a spark, and got a violent jolt of the HT lead for my troubles.
I'd thought about a last minute decision to come over to Squires - maybe Matlock next week, tho' I'll have to be away by 3 at the latest.
Update: looks more like vandalism than a serious theft attempt as the bar stewards had kicked and scratched their way along the road leaving a trail of broken glass etc behind them.
Next door neighbour was particularly unhappy as they'd walked up over the bonnet of his Volvo,across the roof and down the other side.
He's a police sergeant too...even more hacked off 'cos the chap opposite had seen it all but couldn't remember the police number! Didn't occur to him that 9 - 9 - 9 might just do the trick!

Having a text from Lula this morning to tell me Skins had his car nicked this morning just before he left for work so it had his laptop and other work things.
BIG HUG to Ghosthunter....just heard from him and his truck is a write off...luckily (if you can say that) he has escaped with whiplash only...some idiot in a car in front of him ran smack into a horse, which then Jim ran over with his truck...he is devastated...everyone send Jim a nice pm will you and cheer him up?
I have those days too Nutkin, just washes over you and you can't seem to shake it all day!!
