Having a lovely day out with friends today at Uttoxeter Classic Bike Show and having them back for dinner (well I didnt eat them dont worry! just cooked a quick tea for them! lol )
Selling the CG to a very nice young lady who's just passed her CBT. I hope she'll be as happy with little bike as I was.
I had to read that twice Roachy for one minute I thought you had sold me.
Had a "not so good" ride out (almost dropped it) on the new bike today but I am not sad I still have a smile on my face because had this happened on the Virago I would have been looking for a skip to throw it in but this bike is different I still love it.
my back is hurting like hell and so is my damaged arm but still love the bike.
LOL @ CG - like to think I'd have got a few more quid if I had sold you!
Hey, you *almost* dropped it, that means you didn't and even if you did, it's nothing to be ashamed about but obviously it's better when we don't have these little mishaps, esp when it's your new pride and joy.
Really pleased to hear you love the bike though, that's the main thing. Got some piccies yet?
Roachy the first two pics on my profile show the new bike, it's the red one.
You would have got more for your CG than if you had sold bm's CG at 79yrs of age I am sure you would only have got pennies not pounds, mind you having said that I suppose usually an antique or classic model does cost more.
Lovely looking bike Dips and a very nice colour too. I nearly bought a silver one before settling on the CBR.
That's right, the old classics, esp when in such good condition, always fetch top dollar.
Now, who'll start the bidding....
Nice bike dips, well done for keeping it up.
What made me smile today ... a very funny PM I recieved its good to know some people like to cheer others up
Was shown how to turn bike in its own length by pivioting it on its sidestand.
Finally plucked up the courage to give it ago outside my mates house
good trick if you can do it
Its really nice when new owners contact you after the sale
I've been lucky enough to both see and hear from peeps I've sold bikes to
I sent a text on my birthday, after a good ride on Duke, to the guy I bought it from
Bet he was surprised too
It cost very little to be nice and it pays back 10 fold
Thats a neat trick when you have the confidence to execute it Mick
Made me smile to read this thread
two chicks in the nest!!have covered it up a bit more as got a bit exposed in the wind an rain!!for someone who couldnt give a monkeys about the occasional fox being being ripped to bits!! ah well its what makes us human i suppose were nuts!!
Got some pic's emailed from mates in SA last nite , never even knew they existed , they titled them "a trip down memory lane" good feeling checking them out .
Emzed your so right.
I have spoken to the guy my SV came from since getting him, I always remember my grandmother telling me that good manners cost nothing, bad manners cost friends... how true she was, I have even had an email back from the guy that used to own my SV asking how I am finding it ... didnt want to tell him that its been sat in the garage cos I havnt been able to ride it yet
My new panniers (fabric) arrived for Stuey
I would think this will also make Mr P happy as for the welcome rally I will be able to carry some of my own things so he will not have to be loaded like a pac horse
