LC...there are so many stages in parenting..some better than others but there are always good times no matter which stage you are at...I didn't start having children til later in life...I had a career and I didn't want them til I was ready....glad I did...I gave up my career for my children (my Mum always worked and was never there at Sports Days etc etc..so I vowed that I would be...) I still worked til recently but my jobs worked round my girls so I could bring them up instead of anyone else...they are getting independent now my twins are 10 in a fortnight and my eldest is 13..so they are growing up fast...

Im hoping that all my girls go to Uni....I just want them to be happy in whatever they choose to do....be happy with themselves and who they are ...

A tv programme 'Celebrity Come Dine with Me' actress Lesley Joseph was hosting. Not known for her culinary expertise. Her main course was lamb, about 3 hours later it was still raw, they were slicing it up to FRY it. Paul Ross was making sarcastic remarks and everyone was in stitches, Lesley took it all in good spirit. I was kinking with laughter

LC how much do you pay for your son? Mine is 18 and about to go to Uni and I've been quoted £7,000 to add his name to the policy. That's on a 1996 car worth at tops £2,000.
Tried a quote 3rd party only for me and him to drive a 93 Micra 1.o worth £300 and it still came up at £2,750. I know all all about young drivers paying extra, but this is taking the urine, surely? All I've got is a four-year-old SP30 in my licence and no recent claims at all.
Edit: I've just run the same figures through again to see if it would change one my lad has passed his driving test. Premium goes UP to £3,885 for the Micra!

Well was yesterday Managing to avoid going over the bonnet of an idiot who wanted to turn right across the front of my path ! Making Stuey paper thin when not 1 but 2 cars decided I had left too much space in my lane & they could squeeze past me & cut me up , thankfully the car on the inside was turning left so I had room to move over. My darling Mr P keeping me company on a long ride to have Stuey serviced. Stuey having his 1st service & now can ride him again
