4 magpies (parents and 2 asbo offspring!) who have taken over my garden and are terrorising the little uns. Wait til the Robin comes back, he'll sort 'em out lol (I never knew Robins are so territorial)
The lovey doves don't visit the garden anymore

Good luck B C not that you'll need it.
Now that was quality... my cat posted that incomplete post! & is now sprawled across my mouse mat...
Anyway... 60kph I could understand, but 60mph, I'm surprised they'd consider that a pass - it's a pretty small circuit they lay out and hammering it to 60mph would strike me as something they'd not wish to encourage on such a small area. Sounds like the sort of thing they'd fail you for cos as we all "know" speed is dead evil like
Interesting to know though. Surprising, but interesting
Having really nice friends on BM always makes me smile.......thanks folks...glad to be back!
Module 2 test booked together with a days DAS training in preparation...so will keep you posted!!!
Don't worry Lou I wont be an Evil Knivel...or an idiot out on the road...not my style...I am just glad I can control a bike at that speed..cos you never know on a dual carriageway or motorway in the future! I've had enough numpties pull out on me already in the few weeks I've been riding...I expect it so am always prepared! I want to live and enjoy biking for the rest of my life..its took me long enough to get here so I will not do anything to jeopardise it!
It just strikes me as rather unexpected that they'd consider doing the manouevres at double the required speed a pass. I could understand 60 km ph, just 10 km ph over the required speed, but 60 mph seems excessive and somewhat dangerous in a small off-road test area. Especially given the anti-speed mantra that seems to be taking over the country lately!
You've really got to give it some welly to get a bike up to 60 mph in the short distance available on the test track... I'd have thought they would consider that a "loss of control"... not to mention that presumably you'd have been screaming the nuts off the poor bike in 2nd!
Many many moons ago, it was remarked on my car test that I'd failed to slow down "sufficiently" for a 7' width barrier. How slow did I need to go? I line up well before the barrier - it's not as though it's a moving target that might leap out and smack me as I pass through it! I justified my position to the examiner and fortunately was given a pass, but it was "borderline", to use his exact words!
He said it was a "loss of control" whereas I argued that I was in complete control as I eased off the pedal, lined myself up with the barriers well in advance, then proceeded to accelerate through them... in fact, precisely as my Instructor had taught me to.
Having failed my first attempt at the UK test on being "over cautious" and cocking up the reversing round the corner bit, I'd specifically worked on developing a more assertive driving technique, yet there I was, being told I should be MORE cautious & nearly failing my re-test because of it! They usually like you to hit the happy medium, which lies somewhere between hammering the hell out of it and crawling along, frightened fartless of everything
getting up this morning with the sun shine and my kids here too, sitting outside with the mcn, glass of orange, toast with real butter, and a cup of yorkshire tea ...perfect
