For the first time in 50 years the dentist told me my teeth didn't need anything doing to them, and she was surprised they are so clean. She was so pleased with me she gave me a few freebies (toothpaste and those little brushes that get in the gaps) Oo I felt like the teacher's pet lol
The only good thing to happen to me since I quit smoking!

Getting my flight details and seeing its 2 in the morning. Bummer.
Checking carrier and its not Air France
Not dropping my bike this morning and realising that a few weeks ago both me and the bike would have hit the deck for sure.
I've had quite a few what I call *nearly* moments but none of them were like this one. They were over balancing slightly and looking a bit undignified - this was a full on, OMG - no, no, no - we're both going over...no, no, no - 5 second wrestle to hold the bike up and then get it back upright.
Popped to the Co-op to insult the cashpoint... Nice lady on the tills admires my ring & necklace... I walk out of the shop with a potential commission to custom make jewellery as presents for her bridal entourage in September. Awesome start to the day!
Almost makes up for the entire bloody street taking a late one or a day off work today... Go to work! Let me park my car legally before the wardens come round!
Know the feeling at the moment Lou...Co-op bank did a balls up with my account and an income cheque of mine didnt clear until today Ive had the hardest week of my life....but when alls down something else positive happens...Im a very very happy bunny with the other side of my life at the moment....
My lad text me that his car would be ready to drive soon, I replied...
('blonde moment' alert)
...'Well don't drive like a loon, parents shouldn't die before their kids'
I did of course mean 'kids shouldn't die before their parents'
He P H L me too. Doh!
Well I hate texting, it's so time consuming cos I'm slow at it.
Soz Dragon I didn't mean to steal your thunder
Managing to get the bloody awful wing-rack fitted to the bike.. Scotland here I come (next month)..
Practice with the luggage on on tomorrows run up to tan hill.
Just be very careful with soft luggage to make sure the straps don't have any loose ends. Maybe I'm a bit over cautious on this one, but one of the local riders was killed a few years back when a flailing tailpack strap got caught in her back wheel at speed. Even though I didn't know her myself, I know plenty of people that did. Not nice at all.
Thanks for the info ian , I been looking at a set of them , or buffalo's for my bike as I think either bike, as they are sports, would look silly with hard luggage bits on
