Finding the only slippy patch in county durham and having my first off since being a teenager then watching my pride and joy slide down the road in a shower of sparks, front end out of line, fairing cracked, new exhaust cream crackered

RK.. sorry to hear that.. bet you're gutted, at least you're ok. Give yasen a bit of time to wallow, then pick yasen up and get yr bike sorted :o) Hope it's not too much expense. Jim.. ((hugs)) ...soon be nice biking weather and you will have lots of opportunities to meet new peeps :o) Made me sad to hear the breaks on my car grinding like chuff and the exhaust sounding like a Subaru on Steroids (sorry DC lol) :o( Means ive gotta try and find the money to get that sorted and i wanted to get a tyre and some indicators for Ziggy ... looks like he's gonna havta mek do with more gaffa tape for now <<sigh>> :o(

Thanks for the sentiments everyone, got the fairing off and bars straightened this aft, bit of plastic welding on the fairing next week and it'll be rideable again Tip for newbies: Don't open the throttle much until your tyres have warmed up or you'll end up on the deck! (I'm sure I posted this on another thread the other week, should have listened to myself!) I'm too old and fat to lie in the middle of the road, good job I had my helmet on to hide my battered ego! Sorry to hear everyone elses bad news, sh*te day all round, time for too much beer
