could have posted in 'sad, unhappy' thread about how s**te my new wireless connection is, n how hard it is to log on for more than 5mins without losing everything.................decided though to be a bit more positive, n post in here how happy i am that one of those 5min windows is actually happening now!lol.........
Every intention of getting to L/Dunsforth today,no heated grips/winter gloves, hands completely numb with cold so pulls off M62 for quick ciggie & get blood circulating to digits again-pulls up not realising quite how frozen I actually was. Too cold to lift leg to drop sidestand & too cold to react quick enough when bike started to fall!!! Hands still too cold to grip bike to lift it upright(fkn struggle that was) in haste got grip of off-side fairing to lift it(it only broke slightly),got it upright checked it over only damage was what I,d done to fairing.Decided too cold to continue(it would only get colder later on)so head back home I did...passing a truck on way home-65-70ish watched in amazement as (slightly) damaged fairing whipped past my right leg, fortunately no traffic behind me...not to worry never mind I thought to myself as I continued the journey home at least I,m in one piece, even though the bike aint...and that,s what made me smile today ......though would,ve been a lot more smiley if it had been for same reason as Toni Alex has got for smiling
Woo hoo!! Way to go TA!!!
red - sounds like you had quite the adventure. Glad you survived more intact than your bike... off to eBay for a fairing I guess.
