WN and Will thoughts are with you both. Drob hopefully its just a whim I remember my daughters going through this stage but they never actually left when they realised just how cushy and cheap life really was at home.

I think it's just a rite of passage, Drobs, and most of em do something like that. I remember my widowed dad feeling hurt when I decided to find my own place, but it didn't do any damage in the long run.
Mind you, we didn't have mobiles in those days, so i had to tell him face to face!

big to WN & Will xx
the person first who manages to understand why kids behave like they do Drobs will be worth their weight in gold, but until then we just have to plod on!! unfortunately that means that at times as parents we have to put up & shut up. just be there for her Drobs, thats all you can do. have a from one mam to another xx

At 10.30am this morning i received a phone call to tell me my cousin's eldest son aged 20 had took his own life in the early hours of Sunday morning.

I cant really explain the pain that i feel at this time and it will take a long time to get use to not having him around.

Getting a letter from work about yet another meeting to discuss my long-term sick (all thanks to work being complete bastards to me over the years) and noticing that the last paragraph mentioned that they will be discussing termination of my contract on medical grounds! Ten years of pulling my pudding and grinding myself (with a little help from them) into the ground, completely screwing myself up and now they just want to drop me like a shitty rag!!! I suppose it gives me the opportunity for a fresh start.

Mark,,,,most people now are just a number,,,,,,doesn't matter how hard youve worked over the years, it counts for naff all these days,,all companies seem to be looking for easy ways to get rid of people and show no compassion what so ever......... I would fight it just to piss them off,,,,,,whatever happens good luck for the future.......catch up sometime in the new year somewhere!! craig.....................

I think companies are using the recession to justify losing people even when there's no real need.

Too true,,,,,a lot of downsizing going on with companies across the country,,,,,,,most of the time leaving too much work for employee's who are left................................. it will backfire though!!!!!!!

The company that made me and four others redundant have now said they are out-sourcing all there IT hardware contracts to another company in Feb. All the other engineers will be moved to the new company. needless to say in six months there will be more redundancies eventually, they'll try to do everything with nothing and disappear up their own backsides.
