Seeing my pusscats for the first time in a fortnight and snuggling in front of the telly with Tyson
A brief home visit though... back over to Ma & Pa's tomorrow night after I get in to see the Quack and get my sick certificate... Not actually sure who's looking after who really, but Mother's seriously worrying me, so I figure I'm better off staying with her... Pa's back in hospital til Friday for a spot more rehab and they've got him learning how to pull wheelies in his wheelchair... at last!
I've been nagging him about it for 2 and a half years! Aside from being a whole lotta fun, it'll help him bump his chair up kerbs, so it's a useful skill
Finally got round to throwing out an old Anglepoise lamp that's been sitting in a corner waiting to be repaired. Can't get spares for em these days, but my hoarding instincts have ruled up to now and I hate throwing out something that's such a design classic. But it had to go, along with loads of other stuff.
Down to the tip I went. Final call was the skip marked 'small electrical appliances'. There, sitting on top of a pile of old computers and vacuum cleaners, was...a nice clean Anglepoise, complete with wanted spare part!
20 minutes later I had built one from two. And I've got a stash of extra spares...but keep it quiet!
This should've been added on Xmas Day... but I forgot... sis bought Mum a "Crazy Mother Cooker" apron.
Dad didn't remark on it, and we had a bit of a chuckle and asked what he thought of her new apron... he just said "Yes. Very nice"... which produced more chuckling... when questioned if he *got* it, he simply responded that he hadn't wished to draw attention to it! Awwww... One of life's true gentlemen.
Mother wants to know if it's OK to wear at the church where she does lunches for the oldies every Thursday

met up with a lad that i work with occasionally today and he was telling me about a porche 944 he had seen for sale(i knew which one he was talking about,i`ve been looking at it for the past week or so and was tempted myself, but i still prefer what i`ve got),he really wanted it ,but cos he`s quite young and his last car got nicked last year the insurance was over£1400,so he wasn`t gonna bother.i suggested he tried for classic insurance.a hour later he phoned me to say he had taken my advice got a quote for £380 and was on his way to the garage to take it for a test drive
Watching my baby horse trying to be a stallion this morning. He was bouncing round the field like Pepe Le Peu with his tail stuck in the air, and snorting, only it came out like a squeak. Bless him, he tried his best. The girls werent very impressed though
