Tony, if you genuinely believe that make an appointment to see your GP and they will send you in the right direction, not the AA by the way! They say admitting it is the biggest step so well done to you mate

hey maxnod, do you know how ahead of the game you are for actually admitting there could be a problem!?
there is plenty of help out there, really and truly it just depends on what kind of support you require. first stop is prob your GP.

Max. . I'm sure there are loads of us on this site who wish they could turn their lives around for all sorts of reasons. It takes a big person to hold their hands up and ask for help. . .I'm wishing you strength and determinatiion to see it thro and love and friendship to cheer you on your way. Lots of us here to support you XX
Anneka. . i had the same problem with my pics. . but a serious grey with blonde hi-lites moment means I can't remember how I solved it!! If it dawns on me I'll pm you XX
I've sent you a pm Tony. Just so everyone knows its not just the AA that supports people, in Hull we have a place called 'The Alcohol Project', thats a drop-in centre run by non-judgemental people - you don't have to make an appointment, just go, walk by if you can't go in that day, it doesnt matter - it will only help if your ready for it too anyway.I found out about this through my counsillor and mental health unit last month.
Tony's already realised he wants help by announcing it on here -they or a group similar in his area can help him find that support thats tailoured to suit him. And all through it, he's in charge - thats what I like, no one pushing you - good luck xxx

Elsewhere I said: My car looks in very good condition (or did until some scroates keyed it twice recently).
Make that three times! Got home last night to find ANOTHER huge gouge down the other side and covering all 4 panels on the side of the car. So that's 2 on one side (also covering all 4 panels) and 1 on the other. Only panels not scratched now are the bonnet, roof and tailgate.
Went and spoke to some neighbours and their cars have been scratched too (although not as badly) so it does appear to be mindless vandalisim rather than I'm being targetted for whatever reason.
I was seriously thinking of selling the car for a few months, I wish I had because I hate to think of how much value has been knocked off it now.
Spoke to the likely "scroates" last night. Asked them if they knew anything about it. Of course they said they didn't and then five minutes later walked down the street past us and and all the neighbours discussing the problem.
Each of them had a smug grin on their little faces. Kids or not, I felt like smacking them in the teeth.
Little bastards.
