A slower group doesn't nesesarily mean just L plates. I would expect also that the tail ender and the lead bike to be fairly experianced as they have to some kind of responsability with an fair amount of inexperianced riders in the group. Not something thats going to happen in a group of brain out pocket rockets.
There are a few of us that don't mind being in a more sedate group.Where you get a chance to see a bit of scenery instead of worrying about your closing speed on the tractor just round the bend.
I know riders like Ian and Geoff are excellent for leading us less experienced folk....they have the patience and skill to do this..Locky Ian..Ive been pilly with you before and I know you are a very sensible rider too...you would be good to lead too..
This time because of the sheer distance of the journey I decided to leave Mini V at home and went pilly instead...I enjoyed this day out cos I did have an opportunity of having some fast riding (which I am unable to do on my own!) and it gave me a break...
Agree with Mr BP that it was a shame that the faster group I was pilly in only had a couple of bikers in...would have been nicer if a few more joined us...
I tend to lead when Im out with the girls, firstly because I know most of the routes around Derbyshire...and secondly Im quite confident...I do like to follow Jansky, Marie and Debs....cos its nice to see other women ride well too!
