Pootled off to Wednesday bikenight at the Anchor,Epney.....hundreds turned up,some familiar faces, ditto the bikes, but posting up what i snapped pictures of on profile pics as usual..
Awesome run yesterday to Corbridge, then up along the A68 over the border to Jedburg. Stunning scenery especially the vista over Scotland from the border, great food at the 'Simply Scottish' cafe in Jedburgh, and even better, we got to do it all over again for the ride back! 185 miles of riding heaven!
Weds.bikenite was at The Village Inn,Twyning,nr. Tewkesbury..only about 60 mile round trip...happy to see Nickscafe there too for a natter..lovely temperate evening..
Cleaned and polished, checked pads front and back, refilled Scottoiler, adjusted chain a wee tad..just need a blast on the weekend to scratch that itch...
A quick ride up to Scarborough for the first time this year. Another first for ZRX!
Amazing Fish n Chips devoured at King Richard Cafe. Spot on
Waiting for daughter dearest to arrive. Then no doubt hitting The Harbour Bar for a Knickerbocker Glory. Not that I want one, of course, but it is The LAW!!
Steady 100 miles round to Hawes, Buttertubs, then along B6270 to Kirby Stevens, Barnard Castle and home again.
That B6270 has some spectacular scenery, but the road surface is pants - 30 mph tops! ....unless you want to knack your suspension up for good that is!
Pottered about with fettling the rear wheel conversion on Tiger 900,just one spacer to modify, connect up rear brake line and bleed, then MOT time for the big blue beast...just the Speedfour and Honda 500 to do then....after that, another project looms...to be continued...:)
Finished work and out to Bedale, Masham, Middleham, Kettlewell, Hawes, Kirkby Stephen then Penrith. After refuelling both body and bike up to Hartside Cafe, Alston, Middleton in Teesdale, Barnard Castle and home. Bike very very bug splattered!
