A grand day out with a brilliant pillion passenger,...first a long overdue return visit to Rykers at Box Hill, then a run down to the South Coast for ice cream and a sit on Worthing beach in lovely sunny weather(less clogged up than Brighton)..Sunday Lunch at a country pub on the return leg.Home again with a blast back up the M25/M4,speedo cable gave up so miles around 300-ish in dry and warm weather..bliss :)>
Tonight is adjust the headlamps aim level on Rudolph The Speed Triple, noticed on back lanes on way back last night that main beam was lighting treetops, not corners...:)>
Wednesday is Bikenite in Sheepshire...good turnout at the Hunters Inn,Buckbury..estimate about 400+ bikes, took lots of pictures, will put a selection on my profile photos soon..:)
Good Friday..offered up the Scottoiler High Capacity Reservoir to Rudolph The Speed Triple, trying to figure out how to mount behind numberplate and hide pipework away from sight..numberplate lamp might need spacing out a tad...:)>
Put a tad over 700 miles under me over last three days. Down to Portpatrick for a couple of nights with brilliant company and rides out and around Galloway and Dumfriesshire. Heading home today I first went south to bag a location on my rally challenge then up through the Dalveen Pass. I was going to wash the bike (honest, I really did mean to), but Danny opened the garage for me to drive straight in - so I just waxed the chain and will have to wash it another day.
Off out today to the Red Marley Hillclimb,5 hours of nearly non-stop racing, sights, sounds (and smells) from the classic bikes,2-wheel aural bliss...:)> I can still taste the burning Castrol R,lol Spotted some other BMers,on other side of track..:)>
Hi almost my first time out this year bike was in Bretton getting repaired but ok now got it back couple of weeks ago so today i didn't really go far did about 25 miles stopped at chester for a cuppa nice day bike ran well. Phil
A quick ride to J&S in Leeds, caused a bit of chaos and mayhem in the luggage section, bobbed into Get Geared, did the same thing in there except it was the over-jacket section!
Then a lovely bimble over to Holmfirth, the scenic route. Smashing weather, beautiful views, ace roads. Good for the soul sort of day!
I have a puncture repair lined up on my rear wheel. Sticky string has come out twice so I don't trust the current repair. On the scooter the exhaust manifold and half the swinging arm has to come off.... PITA but it has to be done..... I have at least 10 k miles left on the tyre. I will launch into it after work, with cold beer and music
