i did a mere 30 miles to Cheltenham and back, but great weather so hunnerds of bikes there tonight, photos of some on profile pics tomorrow, time allowing..:)>
Today, got to do some routine servicing stuff on Tiger,Speedfour, and Speed Triple,so wheel em' out and give carpet in garage a good hoover first...amazing how many bits of tree debris drift in here...:/
Faffed about with the Scottoiler position on Rudolph and regretted it..Just fussy about it's visibility,so spent hours trying different places....then discovered splits in rubbers for vacuum system for fuel injection, and spent an age adapting some pieces of tubing to fit...hope it works...:/
A 20 mile run around the hills and valleys to see if Rudolph is fuelling o.k. ,and all good, feels smoother...shame about the dozy Sunday bloody Drivers..you'd think people in a coma would stay indoors...:)>
Did a run over to Grassington yesterday under warm blue skies and September sun. Got there to find the place stuffed to the gills with a 'forties weekend event'.
All fine, but the bike parking area was covered in tents and stuff, so was told by a marshall to put the bike on the (boggy) grass - after Fridays rain? Not likely! so was then told that if we parked on the hard standing we had to pay £8 parking! Also not likely! Biker friendly event? Definitely not likely!
So, turned the bike around and headed back to Pately Bridge Fantastic! that meant two blasts along the B2625 and up n' down Greenhow hill. Breathtaking riding by 'isnibs!
Rewarded by parking in BIKER FRIENDLY car park, scrummy dinner (and pud) and good chat and banter with fellow bikers.
Not just today(Sunday),but across the weekend, laughed along with some of the daftest buggers i know at the 'Big O' gathering down at the Lower Lode Inn in Sheepland..did a whole 25 miles to get there, little wonder i was so thirsty..:)>
A quick trip over to Cheltenham to see my new employers, then popped into Performance Triumph to see what i can't afford...and all in glorious sunshine..:)>
