Fitted new rear sprocket nuts, adjust and lube chain, wash and blow dry bike with my new pet hair dryer what a tool to have makes drying bike a lot quicker.
bike stripped down to gain access to lecy bits , test show little AC output from stator , so out it came and one on order, then when I get that installed can check reg/rectifier DC output to battery , seems the electrics have hit their sell by date
140 mile bimble around Perthshire on Monday. We managed to dodge any rain and only encountered a few brief showers
170 miles exploring further east around Angus yesterday. They have purple wheelie bins - I wanna live in Angus! Thought we might make it round home-and-dry (apart from the odd spit) but we got caught at Kirriemuir with a sleet and hail thunderstorm that we sat out until it passed.
Took the A93 from Blairgowrie up through Glen Shee and Braemar to Ballater for lunch. Then up the A939 Cock Bridge / Tomintoul road to Grantown-on-Spey for tea. Took the B road parallel to the A9 from Aviemore down to Kingussie then A9 back to base (apart from a detour at Dalwhinnie due to the A9 being closed).
A little over 200 miles with some lovely roads and great overtakes along the way - and the weather wasn't too bad either, we even got home in sunshine.
Had a great ride yesterday around Fife. Came back to base past Knockhill and through Glendevom to Gleneagles - lovely roads and we had sunshine all the way, 180 miles Today we stayed off the bikes but it's home tomorrow .... until next time.
It's Alive!!!!, bike fired and correct volts to battery and no flickering main beam , just a few bits of fairing to go on but the rain had other idea's, to dark in the garage, so need to sort MOT which ran out beginning of April, then it's happy days
Yesterday, took trike out with the intention of going to the Yorkshire Waterways event at Goole, without using motorways (legally can, but prefer not to) got lost going out of Tickhill, ended up at Doncaster, ran out of fuel in Toll Bar.
Walked 3 miles to get a spare can, fill it up with petrol and then 3 miles back to trike.
Got her going again, drove back to petrol station, filled up and by then it was getting on and the event would have nearly been over, so I headed home again.
