Hi Banditgirl,when i had my daughter(back in the olden days!!!)scans were very new and only available to those who were having problems.I would have given anything to have been able to see my baby before birth,as i am sure many women today who do not get this oppurtunity would.Forget about the tosser,neither you nor your baby need him.Just enjoy the miracle inside you and try to remember how fortunate you really are.
am coming down with a stinking cold & it's supposed to be my team night out in Leeds tomorrow night & I organised it!!!

Di, assuming you have 'home contents' insurance you could make a claim to replace what you lost. I know that's stating the obvious but when I spilled a bucket of water with bleach in it all over my carpet I FORGOT I am insured and lost the opportunity to get it sorted out. My carpet was only weeks old when it happened and now I have an unsightly mark on the carpet where the colour bleached out.
BG, I'm not really into babies but I remember how excited I felt when I was pregnant with my son (he's 23 now) so I can relate to your experiences. Good luck with the birth, whatever gender the baby is it seems to me he or she is in for a whole load of loving from his/her mum.
lying in bed on the internet at silly o'clock knowing that I have to be up for work in three hours but can't sleep, yet when I was on the phone earlier I was struggling to hold a conversation because I was so tired but certainly not bored.
Just feelin life is a little crap at the mo n want to curl up and hibernate.
Then feeling ashamed cos my woes are less than my care buddy who isn't being given any financial help, can't work, in a wheelchair, struggling and has been told she doesn't qualify for Disability???!!! Aaaaaarrrggghhhh!!!!!!!
i have a few'disabled' peeps livin around me,all have cars look pretty cpable of workin,[i see them workin on there houses etc!]are young all smoke are overwieght some have buggys an take their kids to school on em your friend seems a genuine case not like these types who all seem pretty affluent!someone i know was post office counter clerk an left cos she got sick of peaple obviously scrooungin like disabled leavin buggys outside[drivin there new cars] an walkn briskly in to get there dosh others comin in covered in paint an claimin unemployment,while she is on low wage payin taxes for these creeps!!some are genuine but its open to a lot of abuse!!
I agree TM. A man across the road from me claims all kinds and is blatantly working n doing all kinds of dodgy deals. My buddy is genuine...so much so she makes herself sound better than she is on the forms cos she hates her condition so much! She is determined but needs the help and can't get it.
doesnt she have medical evidence that she needs help?these people all must get back up from there gp's they generaly have 'bad backs' or 'stress' brought on by bad workin conditions or they have one 'accident' an play on it for ever!if they dont get wat they want they play merry hell i an i am sure the doc gives em what they want to have a quiet life!!
No TM60 genuine cases like myself, having a severe neck injury through being assaulted get no help what soever...all the years paying in to get no help at all...even the justice system let me down...the CPS threw it out for lack of evidence...had medical evidence and photographic evidence...so I dont know how they manage it...Im too honest...thats my problem...
i am angry that peeps who genuinely deserve help dont get it!why do these scroungers get away with it!is it cos nice people dont bully an shout!cos it seems to me that he who shouts loudest gets heard!i have heard these people screamin at the doc's an at the job centre when i was unemployed!then walk out an get in there cars an go down the pub!i managed to get employment but they always have an excuse an manage to weasel out of anything that gets offered to them!dunno what its like now as this was years ago!
Having a nasty fall at the shops today, I was coming down some stairs and next thing I know I was on the floor in a crumpled heap. My legs are really hurting also my arm that has the plate and screws in it. Never hit my head but just feel as though I want to doze of to sleep.
What makes this even more frustrating was the fact that I should have been on a night out tonight at Scruffy Murphys in Brum even got a new top to wear and jacket was going to meet up with Smurfette to.
Think I need to open the sherry and climb into bed.
I was trying to be clever tango and do my shopping with out my zimmer, thats what happens when you don't want people to realise how old you are, either that or it was the boots I was wearing I got them from a charity shop so maybe that is why they were in there in the first place because the last person fell over in them so gave them away.
