What makes me smile today...
...kind suggestions, offers and mail from fellow members.
...knowing that tomorrow will be my last day in this house so no more:-
...hearing emergency vehicle sirens go past my home every few seconds
...hearing the sound of looters smashing up the empty properties across from my home
...having to padlock my wheelie bin to the wall so it doesn't go missing again (I dunno, they probably used it to stand on to break into somewhere, or could have used it to carry their loot away from the empty properties)
...not being able to hear my televison without having volume up so loud (traffic noise)
...not being able to have my windows open AND hold a conversation and be heard at the same time (traffic noise)
Ghosthunter makes me lafff. Luurrrrvvvvve the lid. And the story bout mending a fuel tap. A real tonic today. Life can be so booorrrrriiiinnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg.
Thanks mate.
Life would be deathly dull if we all liked the same things HR... Even if you don't like Leonard Cohen's sound, or his words aren't to your taste, I'm sure you can give the man credit for being a great wordsmith.
Some of his lyrics are amazing and some just hilarious, but all are wonderfully crafted IMO and the majority stand alone as pretty darned good poetry in their own right. Not many songsters can claim that.
Fantastic stuff Kwak! Will be sending you positive and calming move vibes across the ether tomorrow
evening everyone, i.ve just completed four practice theory test papers for my bike theory in two weeks and i got 46... then 47.... then 48 and then 49 out of 50..... yeahhhh BIG smile on my face..lol anyone got any advice to offer on the hazzard awareness? i never had to do this when i did my car theory test!
hi diamondsabre sounds like you are doing really well get a practice disk for hazard perception, the one for car drivers is fine, its easier than you think and you get a very good explanation in the test center before you start so good luck! have you got practical booked yet?

Thanks Di and Wannabe, the way the remover has taped up some of the boxes (packed a bit yesterday) I'll be amazed if the bottom doesn't fall out ~ of the boxes, not his trousers. LOL
diamondsabre, good luck with your theory. It's been a while since I took one but I recall it stated if I clicked TOO OFTEN, on any one scene, it was classed as cheating and an instant fail, so best not to click too many times. If I'm correct I recall there being either one or two hazards to each scene, and no more. I'm not looking forward to doing another one.
hi julie j
got cbt booked for august 23, if i feel confident enough then wiil try and get the full test in before end of september, when law changes and it gets more expensive!!
cant wait, need to get out on the road again, this time on my own!! not as pilion!
do you have your own bike?
Getting a phone call at work today asking where do I turn the water off, my daughter and her partner thought they would do me a favour and fit my new bathroom as they know it has all been getting me down since my flood in January, then my daughter telling me, Mom you know your lovely new ceiling in the kitchen well it's not so lovely now they had flooded it again.
You got to smile, it's not worth crying over, it's life.
Was amazing Andy could have stayed there forever.......
