Might be worth phoning round some heating engineers in Yellow Pages in the morning to see if they can do the job more quickly. Get some proper advice first, though, as to whether you're within your rights in getting it done now and sending landlord the bill or deducting it from your rent...there should be some sort of advice centre in Derby, I'd imagine.

Oo no!! B C never refuse or withold rent, you break your terms of letting if you do that and landlord has legal right to start eviction proceedings against you. Pay first, claim it back later.

if rent is deposited with a solicitor and notice of this is given to landlord its a perfectly legal action.

the sad news that my sister in manchester has lost her baby, had a scan, the baby had died, so she got took to hospital to have the baby taken away.........love ya our kid, thinking of you,tom...and my neices ellie and lois..........love ya lots your brother ....Ian
