Yesterday did 130-odd miles around lowland Scotland that I'm not very familiar with and it was fan-flippin'-tastic Today reversed the 60-plus mile ride home and washed the bike, shame to put it away while the sun's still shining - but I needed bath and snooze.
Feeling like ol John Wayne today after two days of driving round the North of Ireland, Portstewart, Portrush, Coleraine etc reckon I've done about 250 miles all in all...longest I've ever done ...well chuffed with myself, aiming for longer distance the next 2 days I'm off work :)
Nowt, it's sitting in mi yard mingin. I'll have to give her a good wash and polish tomoz. Off to Berwickshire at the wknd scouting for suitable campsites.
Started bike up second kick, ran like a sewing machine (a treadle one at least) rolled it out of shed applied front break "Twang" rolled it back in shed and went and done some hoovering as it's not my day today
A nice ride out over the last two days, Down to Poole for the Poole Bike Night. Thanks to Stutts for putting us up, for the breakfast and lots of tea this morning.
Went to work on it this evening ha ha ha, you shoulda seen the boss's face..... considering I'm only around the corner from work these days, (as opposed to my last job where I commuted 30 mile round trip) Wish I had filmed his reaction :)
Not much, just a 50 mile bimble after work. Very pleasantly surprised at the surface of the Tak-Ma-Doon road (so much better than last time I rode it), beautiful views from up there and then lovely catch-up meal before opening up on the motorway home. Must do it again, soon.
Like Izzyhill, I had a bimble to the super sausage cafe, where I met up with friends and introduced Big Ray to his first 12 incher! Lol I had a lovely bimble back and now to get ready for a biker's bbq! Lol Stay safe all x
Just got home after a fab trip to Worcester and environs. Not on my bike as I was a pilly this trip .Great to see how those bends should be taken though !
Nothing on bike today, apart from travel home early this morning, recovering from yesterday's long trip up the coast (where else... haha) not made for long drives me at all, too much concentration required after heavy night...pillion in future please lol :)
Yeah RB it was the commuting got to me at my old job last year, so much so that I almost wouldn't go out on weekends I was so sick of driving in the wet every day :( , maybe alternate between getting public transport and driving every other day? (if you can) that helped me :)
Done on bike today... a wee early morn run out to the Glens of Antrim (well only the one of them, no time to do the rest today) just for the hell of it :)
Finally started on the old R50. Stripped out the final drive only to find I had the wrong gssket. Found major oil leak on sump. I went to my bmw man and he was closed. Still there is lots more of other things to do.
