I took part in a funeral escort yesterday, the first one that I've done. I don't think I've ever ridden so slowly for so long, but the family were so happy that we did it for them. That made me smile,

Several (bad) renditions of the same song over the course of the evening and into the early hours i.e. now, by a group of 16yo boys, (as per music thread) the song was Take Me Home, Country Roads by John Denver.
I smiled firstly; as it was so badly sung. Secondly; as they'd defo been 'celebrating'. Thirdly; because who'd have thought that a group of 16yo boys would actually know the words to this song?

Stealing food from the mouths of felines.....made up a huge saucepan of rice and tuna for some of my fussier kittys,tasted it ,and ate loads....bloated now,but got to clean my whiskers...

I saw this in the paper, they are doing a re enactment of the battle of Hastings(in Battle). I think they do it every year, and hey why not. But one year I was watching it with a French friend, and he was baffled as to why the Brits celebrate one of the most significant defeats in their long history. 'only the Brits' he said, made me smile.
Fantastic walks in the woods and wild unkempt nature reserve.... The fallen leaves are sooo beautiful and going off the beaten track 😍😍....... Falling upon a big ring if flyagaric shrooms which had been nibbled plenty by some creatures.....
My shopping being delivered nice and early, saves waiting in for a few hours when I could be out buying another helmet and some more gloves. Oh, and enjoying the sun while it’s out 🙀
