The looks of anticipation on my mutts faces as I fired the barbie up and cooked some sausages. burgers and chicken along with three different kinds of rice and some boiled potatoes for us all. Not a single thing was left in any bowl, think they enjoyed it...

Started my new health/fitness/eating regime at work today. Been for a walk for an hour, eaten my salad with olive oil, nothing out the vending machine. feeling pleased with myself................................. then...... 'fancy a jam doughnut or a custard one. ??? Ahhh well start again tomorrow

Making a little girl's day by giving her a perfect peacock feather!

She had been trundling around the street (her daddy in tow) looking for signs of him (the peacock) and had found only one large brown and cream feather from his side (pretty boring!)

Her face lit up when I went out to talk to her armed with a tail feather, complete with eye and fronds. Wow! She knew straight away what it was and where it came from (she is about 4yrs old). Bless. I love it when tiny kids are into nature, everything is so magical.

I have no doubt she wll be back in a few weeks, wearing her wellies, when the leaves start falling from the trees. A bit of collecting pretty coloured leaves and then a lot of leaf kicking, just like last year

I will be joining in too!
