I have discovered a new service for learning disability support that does social evenings, in my home town, that I can leave my son at for 2 hours and go off to do my own thing! Pretty much everything else we done so far is 15-25 miles way, mostly rural roads. I am a very happy bunny.
Undoing the chain on my bike after leaving work and a young 20 something young lad came up to get his moped. I said hi. He was a tad surprised, and mentioned I was the first biker who had been spoken to him. I told him I didn't have issues with the whole moped/bike thing, both of us are on two wheels facing the seem eejits on the road. He laughed and went off smiling and saying at least not all bikers are rude. For me that is a result, changing a perception.
As an aside to this conversation was my thought that it was a bit sad that his perception of bikers are that we are grumpy nasty bunch of people. Therefore my thought process then went to why don't we, as bikers (whatever your definition) start being a tad less up ourselves and stop worrying and judging what other people are riding and just get on with each other.
RB agree with you let's all get on out there ! But what made me smile was my man being signed off by DSA off instructing for another few years . So proud of him .
Congrats Fud xxx
Made me smile today, the thought of going into work and having to chase up all my little teen 'minions' into behaving themselves whilst helping me out in work
Gotta love Saturdays at work ... I just laugh instead of cry
