I was dreading today but knew I had to do it and do it I did! I rode to Woodall services and back via skipton, all on my own. I've never ridden on the motorway before and I also stopped at woolley edge services too!! I'm loving my bike and if it wasn't for my sore shoulders and crampin my leg I don't think I'd have stopped at 4.30!! Lol have I told you lately that I love biking?? ????????
Today I reluctantly departed (via the A62) from the "1st Just Us & You Rally" at Slaithwaite, where there is apparently a Real Ale pub for every member of the local population. Naturally, I had to try them all out on Friday and Saturday. A steam train full of CAMRA bods wearing false moustaches arrived at the railway station and mixed with the bikers. The pub landlords must've made a mint.
I've always associated beards with CAMRA. Still, they may've only been associate members.
I think Danny said it was 160 miles to Campbeltown today but, bizarrely, only 60 miles back. Ferry wasn't exactly cheap, but it was relaxing and it did save a tank of fuel! Great day out.
Got my late wifes GZ125 into the dining room for a bloody good clean up. It's been sat on the drive for the past five years rotting. It will give me enough to do for a while. Hopefully get rid of it after.
OMG - I've been to Scarborough, waving to the workmen and other bikers as I went! Lol I then returned home via route 59 cafe - a 10 hour day, feeling knackered but happy!
I did it, I did! I took part in the RTTW on my own bike - I am dead chuffed with myself like an amateur ninja earning his next stripe and sword to become a professional ninja!!
I did my first 40 miles on my bike post test and I loved it . Thanks to my lovely friends all of whom have been there on the journey. Could not gave done it without you !! Xxxx
