Just to let you all know that for the past week or so the website server has been hammered by useless data from China and Russian IP addresses. It's clearly an automated "attack" which is getting nowhere. All it's doing is putting strain on the network.
Today I've finally figured out how to drop ALL data packets inbound from China, Russia, Nigeria and other countries.
The "attacks" have now stopped.
The added bonus to the work I've done is that we should have a hell of a lot less spammers joining the site now
Please note: If you go on holiday and find that you cannot logon to the website, it's because the internet provider you're using on holiday is blocked. I apologise if you're inconvenienced by these new security measures but please understand that they are necessary in order to protect BM data and service.
The ironic thing is that I accidentally knocked the network completely offline about 15 minutes ago. I restored a backup and everything was fine again in 5 minutes.
And there was me thinking I had bust my laptop and it was matt tinkering again lol
Hang on does that meen I wont be getting any more hot chicks loving me long time any more
No offence but can we please keep 'serious' topics, such as this one, clear of the banter, which seems to appear on almost every thread, especially the events threads?
So many pages of waffle and banter means that relevant info' gets lost.
