Does anyone on this forum watch or ride this type of event? I have entered and yes I am proper stupid for doing it :-)

I've heard of it but I've never been. I imagine people will need goggles to keep the sand out of their eyes, visors get scratched too. Sounds like good fun tho and would have loved to have done it myself when I was younger.

Im GOING !......................to watch....... Know a bloke whose done it 5 times! Hes getting old now.... and not so fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to be v.fit apparently...He finished all 5 races, came 156th as his best race...(a fair few yrs ago) Wishing u all the best. ps: bike will be wrecked after the race............ (oder new tyres...etc,,,....
