Hi all,
We have a couple of requests for the rally;
1. We have been let down by our firewood supplier and are in desperate need of as much wood as we can possibly burn on the communal bonfire. We don't mind pallets, fence posts or even whole trees (already felled, of course), but we will need to stretch the offer to having the wood delivered to the rally site as we don't have the means to get it there. If anyone can help then PM me or any of the firnedlies and we'll be happy to arrange things.
2. Our DJ (Rantin Ritchie) has asked if we can supply a CD mixer desk (whatever one of those is) as he normally has this type of equipment supplied. Again, anyone who can supply or get a lend of one, can they get in touch.
3. If anyone is interested in Marshalling at the event then please PM XKLYBR. Don't panic, it's nowt difficult and stints will be rewarded by a big hug from XK (even though he doesn't know it yet ).
On a slightly different note, if you want tickets or have put your name down for ticket(s) then get your money in fast as tickets re going well *time to buy my own, I think* so PM Caz or fill out the online request form on the friendlies website (how 'kin posh does that sound?)
Mark, my best friend is a tree surgeon, i could ask him to come to the rally, we could load the tipper full of logs......could i offer him a free ticket if he is free that weekend ??? in return for the wood ???
Have you tried local parks etc Mark? They'll be felling this time of year to make room for the new growths.
I'll see if I can get hold of someone at Newmillerdam as they always have stockloads of logs.

Geoff - I got arrested last time I hung around local parks . If anyone living near the rally site (Boroughbridge) can also help by contacting local councils. then please feel free.

At what point in the run up to the rally will the site be "open" to accept wood?
I have a small amount, but obviously can't bring it on the bike/pack horse.
So, will there be an opportunity pre-rally?

we will be at the site from thurs lunchtime but if you need to get rid before then just pm mark and we'll sort something.
Were still in need of pa,lights and cd deck if anyone can help.if we end up having to hire these its gonna make a HUGE dent in our coffers.
JUST a thought... re the PA...
not sure what band/s you have, but maybe the main or headline band could be asked to set up their PA for the duration? I know that we have been asked to do that in the past, and usually happy to oblige?

great idea cissy but apparantly theres some concern over power or output or something.being a complete technophobe i havna a scooby what their on about,so i have to be a girly about it all and leave the clever stuff to the guys
