Well done HFG... Took me over 24 years of talking about learning to ride before I did owt about it, so I know where you're coming from! ;o)

The bike purchase funds aren't getting there fast enough for my liking though!

hey thanks all for the congrats & yes I will take up those offers of beers!! Well done to you too red! & good luck for the test! (at least your getting it done before the new one comes in!!!) Karey - I'll send ya a PM re the course. Just have to save up some money to get a bike now! with this new test coming in, think i'm just gonna try & get some experience out on the road & see what happens in the new year (from what the instructors said, there's some really daft stuff you have to do in the new test - stuff even the instructors struggle with!!)

Well done Old Red too! I notice no one has told them about the initiation ceremony yet then?............I'll get the vaseline and cucumber and if someone else can bring along the whipped cream, chocolate sauce and the large builders tarpaulin........
