Better late than never. I joined back in August but never introduced myself. So here I am, a regular rider and happy going out to bike haunts on my own. I have been busy this year helping my lad, who has started racing a sidecar. Only two race weekends left now then back to riding out to Hawes and Devil's Bridge.
I’m Paul, I’m a 50 y-o railway worker from the West Mids. I’m currently single but that may change in the not too distant as I’m talking to a lady (not from here) but literally just started, time will tell.
I am quite shy/introverted, so if you see me at an event, I probably won’t be the first to introduce myself. It’s not me being rude, it’s just the way I am.
I’d like to make some friends as I don’t really have that many outside of work.
I’m also hoping to attend a few events work permitting that is, I have to work weekends when the trains aren’t running and not busy (queue the jokes 🤣)
My beloved bike is a 2010 Yam FJR1300 with 83k on the clock which I’m hoping to take around Europe and northern Scotland next year, but I’m a complete newbie with long distance touring, so any advice is warmly welcomed 😊
