It is with a shattered heart that I announce the death of my husband, Alan Keill who died on Thursday (05/03) morning.

Just over 3 years ago on this site, we met and our journey began together. He was the most kind, honest, respectful, trustful, supportive and dignified man ever and he had so much love to give. To add to this list he was a biker and a Moto Guzzi enthusiast having two Moto Guzzi's and a BMW when we first met. I believe he was secretary or something (not quite sure) with the Moto Guzzi Owners Club in Warwickshire branch but hung around the Staffies branch and organised the occasional ride out and helped with promotion of the clubs at various events and rallies etc.

I know he had been on the site a few times looking for his person and had dated and made friends along the way. Alan is a Coventry lad and he said "he never thought he would find love in South Wales", lol but how wrong was he.

Al died from complications with diabetes and prostate cancer, which he had for several years but it was unknown. Symptoms were there but it was linked by his GP to the diabetes rather than his prostate. He was diagnosed with Advanced Prostate Cancer in November 2024 after becoming quite unwell with a chest infection and had to be admitted to hospital. On that note, just a message to you men, don't ignore symptoms and think they are linked to something else, please get yourselves checked, do not be embarrassed and get a blood check done specifically for prostate issues.

Alan leaves a chasm in my life and heart but he has left me a list of things that I need to do and places to visit.

Al has left me with a lot of wonderful memories, he's given me true love and self-worth and now his spirit rides free from pain in the skies above... love you always and for eternity, my gorgeous, handsome man... xxx

Such sad news. As other have said, you need to remember the good times, but that's easier said than done when you feel your world's been turned upside down.

RIP

So sorry for your loss RB but at least he had you at his bedside caring for him, when he had been so ill for so long.

I will always cherish the memories of my drinking buddy and fellow renegade from the Castle Hotel Llandovery at Finks camp 2024 and I can still picture you on the back of Als V100 through the lanes on the Fugrwe Tour of Lyn Brianne.

R.I.P. Al, ride free 🏍🤗
