So I did a search and there's been nothing on this topic for a few years.

I'm a newbie to the site and getting back to motorcycling after an absence of twenty years.

The road bike is sorted but,
1) after a chat with someone who shall remain nameless, and
2) who is possibly proving to be a bad influence on me, and
3) in the absence of adult supervision

I have been thinking about going fast again, in a motorsports kind of capacity

I have raced, rallied and drag raced cars (Run What You Brung at the Pod), but have never raced motorcycles. See where I am going with this.....?

Keen to talk to anyone on this forum who drag races motorcycles. Looking for advice (other than "DON'T" ), pictures, nostalgia, or just a good blether.

Probably be looking to build my own bike, possibly from old British junk (it's what I know best) but interested to hear what you have to say. Contrary to my comment about old British junk, I am serious about doing this and keen to be competitive.

Any takers?

Sits back and waits for reaction - crickets/tumbleweeds?

Hi. Drag racing is great for bikes. I don't indulge myself but I do have some good advice, You can have the fastest bike there and be the fastest rider but if the brakes don't work your stuffed. Hope that helps lol
