Had my keys stolen the other week, I have spares for two of my bikes but not the SV. I’ve managed to pick the lock on the fuel cap and changed that but I’m struggling with the ignition. Any suggestions on how to remove the ignition lock without damaging the barrel??
It might be time to call in a locksmith to remove the steering lock so that you can replace it with a new one. A good locksmith will be able to undo the lock allowing you to do what will be necessary. If the keys have been stolen it would be prudent to change all locks affected, costly I know but can you be certain the security won't be compromised with those keys in the wrong hands?
Drilling the lock didn’t go to well but fortunately I remembered the the screws holding the barrel on were only in a few turns, so I knocked the barrel off. All replaced and working now!
