Yet another sad loss to the music world, Marvin Lee Aday. More commonly known to all as Meat Loaf. Very sad times indeed.
I saw him several times, over the years of my youth. I was 15 years old when I hopped on a bus from Leeds, with my mate J (14), to Manchester Apollo. The gig was the most wonderful and immersive thing I had ever experienced. A great showman gone but not forgotten. RIP
*We missed the bus back by seconds and had to call J's brother to come and pick us up. He'd just finished work in a fish factory, so we came home, over the Pennines with the windows open cos the car reeked! 😂😂 Oh the memories.
