Jeremy Corbyn champion of the socialist left the only hope for decent fair minded hard working bikers in the UK.Get behind him ''BROS''give him your support and help him to rid our country of the
Reagan,Thatcher, legacy that still rules us today. If we don't ''BROS''it will be more tory austerity, social unfairness and injustice (zero hours contracts, cuts to desperately needed social welfare, food banks for in work bikers, imagine that.Don't let our bros suffer.I
have nothing against hard working rich, mega rich decent people but i do have an issue when the slave driving servile right of the tories use our countries wealth to benefit the likes of themselves at the expense of the unhealthy, feeble minded, weak powerless unfortunates (good decent people) of our country.
Cameron's children, god forbid, will never face the prospect of entering the workplace on a zero hours contract or have the fear of insecurity that brings for their future, they will 'and rightly so'
never have to suffer the fears of financial insecurity whilst ''TRYING TO DO THE WRIGHT THING''and play their part in society. Please don't misunderstand me i wish all the best for Davids children and their futures but he certainly does not for yours....Think about that because that's the evil tory right wing
servile scum that we should all fight against(the cancerous growth in British politics).

Oh for god sake.... No offence 56Steve, you are perfectly entitled to have whatever political belief you want.

But this site is for everyone, regardless of colour, sex, creed or political belief. It is not a place for this kind of diatribe.

People vote for who they want, when they want and why they want. We get enough harranging about this out there.
I know you are new to the site, but get off the political soapbox and don't ruin this site with it!

Even in the run up to the recent referendum, no-one brought politics onsite, and I know a few members with opposing sentiments on that topic.

Good for you Steve, I may not agree with you or like what you write but I like to see some new 'life' on here, controversial topics or not it is always good to see/read different people's opinions, goodness knows this site needs it as it is so stagnant lately....

Just don't get me started on lizards acting like humans please xx

Yes Lulu, the site has stagnated over the last 18 months or so, but airing political views on here, regardless of who you support, is going to lead to huge rows, and thereby causing even more people to leave the site or decide not to take out a membership.
During the last general election campaign and as I mentioned earlier, the referendum, no-one posted anything political on here.
The last thing we need is in fighting and bad blood over politics. Stuie was right when he said RB put it better and more politely than some of us could have done.
Keep the political stance for facebook where anything can be discussed. BM is a biker site that needs to be encouraging more bike orientated conversation and interaction.

Stuie and D6 stop spreading nasty rumours about me being polite and tactful...you are just seriously ruining my reputation!
I probably should clarify, I am happy to have a conversation about pretty much anything.
However some things are best discussed in person and not by forums where without facial expression, body language, tonal changes and the like, misunderstandings happen far too easily. There have in the past been situations which have been highly inflammatory, ugly and left a layer of horribleness over the site which I'm guessing no one wants to happen again. It also, above all else puts people of being part of the BM family (which on the whole rub along nicely).
That said, those who know me, have some times been shocked by my hardline approach to certain topics, but life experience will always lead to strong opinion. And on this site we do have some very strong opinions!
Which, I think, is not a bad opinion for a working class, tax paying lass, educated in state school, under a labour council, who have done nothing but lie, cheat and betray their constituents....

oh and I forgot to add, I have no preference to any party, they are all same regardless of which party they come from. I am, universally, fair with my utter dislike and distain of politicians.

Hi everybody i thought that might ruffle a few feathers and get me
noticed.I'm sorry but i do have pretty strong political views as you can see, i can't help it,it has always been a very emotive subject for me as i know it is for others hence some of your responses.I
am also sorry if i have upset the applecart and used this forum in a way
that triggers a somewhat hostile response from a few members it was never my intention to do so and i do take your point that it will
drive some members away. But after all it does say anything goes
Ride safe Bros and sistas,
56 Steve.

Just so you understand 56, I wasn't being hostile in response, just exasperated. if people have complaints they get in touch with either site staff and/or mods.

With your second post, I got complaints.

The one thing this site hasn't been in the time I have been a member is anyone's platform for politics.

I would gently suggest you get to know the site and the folk on here before maybe shoving you political agenda down their throats!

Frankly I think the advice that politics and religion should be avoided at all costs in polite conversation is absolutely true - even if you think you share the same view, you'll soon find something fundamental to disagree on - so best left out altogether.

I like that bikes transcend most other societal divisions, and long may it stay that way

maybe we could talk about bikes ..................how has the best one the fastest one ....................the best module.............. or we could go with what makes the best biker ????

Firstly, welcome Steve :)

Secondly, you are correct, general topic and anything goes, includin politics if thats your want. Your thread title explains the content and if folk do not wish to air their political opinion they dont have too, just pass the thread by.
There have been numerous threads which peak no interest with me so i chose not to participate.
I hope you have not been put off enjoying the site :)

My only objection in the post is that you are only a "decent fair minded hard working biker" if you supported that bit wet lettuce who showed us how weak he is during the EU vote (Thankfully).

PS, welcome to the site Steve

YES.

As it says on the tin, genenel chat, anything goes.
This might include 'saving the world', 'nuclear war', 'footall' or even 'politics'.
For the narrow-minded arrogant few to suggest that 'politics' be excluded is well out of order.
They do not have to engage if they don't like the subject.
And to suggest this is in some way detrimental to the site shows them to be full of their own self importance.
I wonder how many peeps viewing this site have been scared off joining  by these self appointed  'rule makers' . They have no jurisdiction whatsoever, and should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for pretending otherwise.

Have they not heard of 'freedom of speech'?

'I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend with my life your right to say it'.

So does freedom of speech stretch to include expletives? Plenty of my posts in the past have been edited and somewhat lose the emotion behind them. Lets see how fecking hypocritical we can get then shall we?
