Today we went for a ride into Northumberland and the Borders.
The sun was shining and it was utterly beautiful.
Somewhere, about as far from anywhere as it is possible to get, we found a pretty little ford.
So idyllic in fact that my bike decided to have a lie down in it!!!
Fortunately they bounce well do S10's.
The only damage was a bend in the stupid little peg on the side stand, a bend in the gear linkage adjuster.
Oh and a wet arse where I landed in the river.

I didn't spoil my day though.

Steve you're a hero. A Big purple one.
Anyone that makes a plum of themselves and laughs it it off deserves a pint from XB

I dried out through the rest of the ride thanks. It's nice to know gortex works horizontally as well as vertically.
Northumberland and the Borders has got to be one of the best places in the country ride, walk and, errr, paddle!.
Although I do hear the m25 is popular

How did you manage to lie it down crossing that?

It's only about 6" deep PC but fucking slippy. Try standing on an oil slick and you'll get the idea.
Some locals up the road wondered how we had got across!

But Lindsey managed it...

Now there's a proper rider, not a muppet!

Lol we all drop em. Dropped the zx12 a few weeks ago.. Blinking steering lock fell out and jammed the headstock.

That was an embarrassing petrol stop!

NA we all drop em.. Even when I was a courier I used to drop my bikes.. Always when people were watching and when it was not a good place to do it. Like filtering or doing a U turn in a high street!
