I`m in the process of buying a small place in north east Italy, on the Slovenian/ Croatian border, necessitating me riding over there a "few" times between now and the end of October,
if any one would like a guided tour to the best roads between here and there in return for company in cafes, let me know.
I "tend" to ride via hull from north east (hate the dover crossing) though depending on pennies situation!
then alternate between: A/ across france/mont blanc/northern Italy via dolomites, B/ Belgium (aaaagh) Germany (black forest) Austria/ slovinia and into Italy via Croatia avoiding motorways as much as practical, and spending as much time on twisty mountain roads as poss. I travel pretty light and tend to be faster than most traffic.
