The local council in cahoots with United Utilities is planning to charge three quid a head for getting into Lever Park near Bolton, where Rivington Barn is one of the most popular biking meets in the north of England.
Is nothing sacred??

hey that's outrageous - Lord Leverhulme left the Lever Park estate to the Liverpool waterboard with the express intentions that it should be free for the public to make use of!!!!! That was why it was left to the Liverpool waterboard (at the time) cos the Bolton Council wouldn't take note of his wishes!!! **ok - am from Bolton & used to be very intersted in the local History! lol **
