Most people think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of 'those moments.' One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. Some say it's the vibration from the car, others say it's the time away from any distractions such as TV, Video Games, Computer, iPod, etc. Either way, my kids usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together. Eye to eye contact helps a lot too. I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique. Sincerely,Your Friend

An old college tutor of mine maintained that hair gel was developed after US soldiers returning from Vietnam, unable to get hold of brylcreem, started improvising by using napalm gel on their hair....
Sounds like a bit of an urban myth to me, but I guess it could have an element of truth to it?
You wouldn't want to light a cigarette though...
Shame?
Oh you don't know the half of if Vinnie - I've emailed the mods, begging them to remove my post and I'm just preparing the birch for a spot of self-flagellation. I shall never live it down!

Pennies are a bit tight at the moment as well so it would definitely have to be DIY, do you know of any evening classes or better still are there any instructional videos you can buy?
Is there any specialised equipment involved, where can you purchase it from, how much does it cost, and is it a suitable subject to bring up in conversation at a church sociable?
I really don't mean to aggrevate you on this matter but you seem to me to be an expert in these matters.
