An elderly couple, are at the hotel they had thier honeymoon in. As they sit having breakfast, the oldboy, quite emotional is saying '50 years', seems like yesterday, do you remember that night we were dancing? Tears welling up in his eyes. Come on you soppy thing, says his wife, we've had a good marriage.
I know he says, do you remember the heel came of my shoe, and we took them to that cobbler around the corner, we never did collect them. I still have the receipt for them, says his wife.
You have? he says, shall we see if its still there? Ok then. So off they trot to the parade of shops, all closed down , except one,(you guessed it.... the cobblers)
They walk in , and there is a very old gent , mending some shoes' Good morning, says the woman, we wondered if you still have these shoes, and hands over the receipt.
Ooh thats an old ticket exclaimed the old man, I'll check downstairs.
A few mins later he returns holding the old boys shoes, he cant believe it, and tears stream down his face.
Can I take them with me? he asks
Err... no. Says the old cobbler,
