BSB star fails his bike test
British Superbike Cup champion might win races on his 1098 but struggles when it comes to road riding HE might be the British Superbike Cup Champion, but Northwest 200 Buildbase's John Laverty is rubbish at riding on the road. The youngster, who has been impressing all with his pace on the mostly stock 1098 Ducati in the competitive domestic series, took the test last week and failed, much to the amusement of racing brothers Michael and Eugene.
He said: "It's very embarrassing really, but I'm going to take my test again as soon as possible. I can't let Michael and Eugene have the last laugh over this one!"
Ron Haslam once got done for taking his mates bike up the road.....he hadn't passed his test.
A lot of racers don't ride on the road as its a lot more dangerous than track work usually. And a fast racer is not always a fast road rider.
