Check this out: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7587702.stm if this could be applied to leathers - then no more getting soggy bums!!! & if not, then 100% waterproof waterproofs??

Unidirectional water-proofing with an opposing breathability using a semi-permeable membrane, eh? Oddly enough, that is exactly how GoreTex is supposed to work... Oddly enough, we were issuing our lads with GoreTex socks way back during the Falklands conflict... This is old news about old technology. If they can apply it to leather, I'll be interested, though!!

There are some treated leathers out there but think they are about £2000 suppose you get what you pay for
