I was wondering if there are any bikers that live in Blackpool who could possibly help with getting my bike back on the road. I only have £20 spare as have been signed off sick for 3 months, but desperate to get out on the bike before the pending operation. The problem is not fuel/spark plug or oil level, these have been checked already and are fine. If anybody can or would help please send me a message to get my phone number. Thanks in advance guys and gals. Ann-Marie

Ann-Marie if I were closer I would take a look for you hun if you have a good spark and fuel is getting though the only other thing that it could be is lack of compresstion or timing you have checked your air filter its not clogged up with muck

If it started off the bump its somethink could be bad concetion or low battery change the spark plug make sure the HT lead is tight both ends and the fuel is clean check the choke is not stuck and opening and closing ok

spark plug may look ok - but if you can try another one, just incase the porcelain has hairline crack in it - Then at least you should be able to cross that off - as jp says check the leads and where the plug cap screws into the lead (if its scruffy it may need trimming slightly/neatening up before the plug cap goes back on the lead)

automatic choke have no idea where it is but will attack it tomorrow. Along with cutting half a mile off the hotgrip wire attachment to battery and break light completion fix tomorrow. Will start on attempting the top yolk as well.

Just to let everyone know I can't confirm the death of the ignition coil as my mates multi meter, well he said it is the wrong type need a more powerful one or something. I have however started doing up loads of things on the bike and quite proud of the changes I have made so far. Still wish it was going though. I must say a great big thank you to everyone who has given me feedback on how to tackle the problem, it's thanks to you guys and gals we think we located the problem, just not confirmed without said multi meter. SO TO YOU ALL.
