VIA Fallen Bikers On
Sunday 26th June we are having a "Stay Positive Darren" ride out to
Southport where young man Darren Russell is still in hospital almost 3
years after a motorcycle accident which left him paralysed, Darren is in
desperate need of some cheering up right now and really needs a boost. If anyone is interested then add Fallen Bikers to your FB page and leave your name under the post. I will put further information up as it comes through from them on here
Thanks Sal ... wow... good to know that they have reached their limit !! and just checked they have a Fallen Bikers Support page which you can like, hopefully they will be posting something on there shortly :)
No worries tho... will be posting up meet times/places when i hear back from them
Is he up to being taken out? I only ask because the Shakespeare is just down the road from the spinal unit and put some decent bands on every weekend. It's also full of hairy bikers and that's the more presentable female clientèle
Hi Gloom, I have no idea, I joined the FB page cos i had recently lost a very dear friend in a motorcycle accident. I have posted the run up as it is helping someone else and some people may wish to join the run. I am not organising this personally.
These are the run details that i have for the moment for anyone who wants to join in.
VIA FALLEN BIKERS
Our main meeting point is at Rivington Barn in Horwich at 10.30am. We
are also arranging for people to meet at Tesco Stockport 9am, &
Hartshead Services, just past J26 on M62 (going west), about 9am to
leave 9.30am. We need to be at Rivington Barn about 10.30am, our main
meeting point with riders from other places. As this is a charity ride
out we are asking people to donate £5 a bike please, if poss, however if
you can't donate you are still welcome to join us as its more important
to us to give Darren the boost he needs. Fallen
Bikers is a Charity & support network, at the moment donations are
going towards getting a stand-up wheel chair for Darren so he can get
around more making his life slightly easier.
