Beat me to it Jen
It's nice to see someone have a bit of good fortune
Congratulations
Brightest Blessings on you and your new home Chilli
I hope you'll be very happy there
Looks like there's a biker friendly pub on the doorstep too
Riding home from Squires this evening just as i was approaching a roundabout a couple on a bike told me that I'd dropped something, so I went round the roundabout and retraced my steps.
As I was pulled up at the side of the road a bloke on a Harley saw me, so he too went round the roundabout, came back, and stopped to ask if I was OK!
We sussed that it was a piece of the handle bar that had fallen off and he established that, although we found the missing piece, I could continue to ride without it, so it's in my bag waiting to be re attached.
Would this have happened it I had been in a car? I think not!
What a nice little anecdote to gladden the heart Lisa
Thanks for that, it made me smile
It just goes to re-enforce the belief in the biking fraternity
Which on the whole is to help each other
He didn't "have" to turn round and come back
After all, next time, it might be his turn
My thoughts exactly emzed, he didn't have to come back but he did and although there was nothing i needed him to do it was nice to know he was there and cared!
Having a bit of a clear out, found a huge bag of photographs,& old cards,1 card in particular, from my grandma to my daughter for her 1st birthday, musical,i remember grandma saying Helen can get this out every year, later that year grandma died, the card never came out again.
Yesterday Helen celebrated her 25th birthday,so today i will give her the card, and the lovely thing...it still plays happy birthday when you open it.
How lovely is that..thinking of you today Grandma.
