Have the Easter holidays started already? Lucky fella, t'was a pretty good day up here today and it's meant to be settled and sunny for most of tomorrow so I hope you get out on the twisties again. xx
Thrilled to bits after completing all the manoeuvres for mod 1 at my first practice session on the test training pad. What a confidence boost! It may have been only on my wee 125 but small steps and all that. Sadly, the actual test will be quite another matter, I suspect - but I'll savour the moment for now.
Plans A B and C ditched, plan D a great success! A - Bridlington for fish n chips, pilly dropped out. B - Oliver's Mount road races, £20 entry and didn't really want to be out all day. C - Squires egg run, still in bed at 8.00 when I read it started at 9.00! At least 1 hour riding away. D - Mrs decided she would like a pilly ride to see where I'm now working, so after lunch we went the scenic route via Barton, Barrow, and Ulceby to Immingham and Stallingborough. Then carried on to Cleethorpes for tea anhd ice cream. Home over the Lincolnshire Wolds via Binbrook, Caistor and Brigg. Bright sunshine and not too much wind all afternoon.
Technically nothing - mine's in the garage waiting on a kindly soul looking it over to order up everything it needs for a service; but I had a lovely ride on back of one that literally has my name on it, PMSL.
Beautiful conditions for a ride to the Ayrshire coast, we just missed the boat in Troon and found the town very quiet and sleepy on a Tuesday evening even in the Easter holidays, so shot up to Irvine for munchies. Good to see a few other bikes out enjoying a lovely evening and all of them nodded.
Only 80 miles today. Big mistake deciding to take bike - stopped me doing other stuff! *sigh* it'll still be there later, but we don't get days like today often enough that I regret it. Looking forward to meeting Moffat crew and having a longer ride in the morning.
No1 son sneaked the Bonnie out of the shed and took it for a spin
No1 son's girlfriend then asked if she could take it out. I said "of course" while biting my lip
And then I took a young lady (of this parish) for a blast to Llandudno and back for a cup of tea/coffee
There is no point in having anything unless you can share it!
Surprisingly only 110 miles, thought it was more - but I suppose that's the advantage of it being kinda my backyard. Been out all day, in April, with NO waterproofs, and sunnies on every minute and needed every minute! Flipping glorious day bumbling around the Dumfries & Galloway with BM Reivers and friends. Wish I could join you again tomorrow but am called in other directions. Thanks to Steve H for arranging it and to scotdick and paneurojim for keeping me company (and rounding up tearaways!), and to whoever booked the weather - bless you child! x
